It is a salutation process
in which the body is to fall like an uprooted tree
in the feet of the Lord(God) .
Time--2½ minutes from 7,00 p.m.
to 7.02½ p.m.
Total number of Dandwat Pranams--11
. Each Dandwat Pranam takes 14 seconds with 28
Mantras .
Total number of Mantras = 28 × 11
= 308
Step ( I
) :
After ending Karbaddha Pranam in Rechak exact at 7
p.m.,
come immediately to Pranayam--Kumbhak, retain in it
and
do in sequence as :
(i) Keep the palms down
along respective thighs.
(ii)
Keep the right foot
ahead by two cubit length and support the
chest by the thigh. Subsequently, put the right hand
to rest erect on the floor touching and adjacent to
the toe of the right foot.
(iii)
Now, keep the left
hand on the floor adjacent to the chest and parallel
to the right hand. Subsequently. bring the right
foot back so as right ankle to touch the left ankle.
(iv)
Keep the body
straight like a wooden plank, balanced on the palms
of hands and toes of the feet.

The above work in Kumbhak, is to be accomplished
very quickly as no extra time is specified for it.
Step (
II ) :
(i) After completing step (i) above and
remaining in the same position, come immediately
from Kumbhak to Poorak and do one Poorak for 4
seconds with 8 Mantras. Kindly note that Dandwat
Pranam begins with beginning of Poorak.

Bring the forehead
down in the Lord's feet in 2 seconds with 4 Mantras.

(vi) Now, come from
Kumbhak to Rechak and do it for 4 seconds with 8
Mantras. Here, with completion of Rechak, one
Dandwat Pranam gets completed.

(Vii)
To start next
Dandwat Pranam , immediately after completion of
Rechak and in the same posture, come to Poorak and
do it for 4 seconds with 8 Mantras. Following the
earlier sequences, complete this Dandwat Pranam and
so on to complete the remaining nine Dandwat Pranams.
(Viii)
Counting Dandwat
Pranams: Start to count at the beginning of item
(iii) of Step (II) in Kumbhak in each cycle, the
first count getting denoted by a little left side
shifting of the small finger of the left hand and so
on with the remaining four fingers respectively. For
sixth count , shift small finger of the right hand a
little right and so on with other fingers to count
upto 10 numbers. Doing one more Dandwat Pranam, have
doubtless count of 11 Dandwat Pranams.
